ATKV Applous Finals 2019:

51 Choirs from across the country and Namibia participated in the regional competitions in the division High School Merit (Mixed choir boys and girls.)

The Top 5 choirs were invited to take part in the Final Competition in Bloemfontein on 26 August 2019.

Hoërskool Akasia was crowned as the winners of the ATKV Applous Competition in our division.

Hoërskool Akasia also received the prize on that evening for " Best interpretation of an African Song". All choirs in the three divisions were taken into account for this prize.

We are very proud of our choir for winning this event.

Pretoria Eisteddford 2019:

The choir received gold for their performance at this event.

Results:

1. Hoërskool Akasia 86,33%.

2. Hoërskool Duinesig (Walvisbaai) 86,13%.

3. Hoërskool Hendrik Verwoerd 85,98%.

4. Hoërskool Namakwaland 85,41%.

5. Cornwall Hill College 82,41%

Hoërskool Akasia also received the prize for " Best interpretation of an African Song" for the evening. All choirs in three different divisions were taken into account for this prize.

 Hoërskool Akasia's choir is one of 5 choirs which has been selected to take part in the finals of the ATKV Applous competition in Bloemfontein on the 26th of August 2019.
